Charles Thomas Williams

Charles Thomas Williams, 92, of Forest, Virginia passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Marguerite S. Williams and son of the late Albert E. Williams and Rachel Cabaniss Williams.

Charles was born on August 20, 1932, in Washington D.C. He proudly served in the United Sates Navy. He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. He was also a member of the New London Rotary Club, and Kazim Shriners Club.

Charles enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and riding bikes. Charles enjoyed serving the community in which he lived. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a love for the mountains. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Charles is survived by his sons, Albert A. Williams and wife Sonya, Arthur T. Williams and wife Amy; grandchildren, Ryan T. Williams, Brittney W. Arthur and husband Colton; step-grandson, Tyler Brown and wife Ashley; brother, Ferris “Sonny” Williams and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00 am at Oakland Community Church with Pastor Phil Showers officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at Oakland Community Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
