Charlie Alonza Goff
Charlie Alonza Goff, 94, of Bedford, died Monday, May 30, 2011. Born October 23, 1916, a son of the late Lon Goff and Georgia Pippins Goff.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Higgins Goff, and two grandsons; Ronald Wayne Goff and Michael A. Goff II.
Charlie is survived by his children; Charlie J. Goff and wife Betty, Junior F. Goff, Winfred V. Goff and wife Elizabeth, Michael A. Goff and wife Patsy, Vannie G. Campbell, Delores G. Newman and husband, Eddie, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Huddleston Rescue Squad, 5349 Smith Mountain Lake Pkwy, Huddleston, VA 24104.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with The Rev. Brandon Baber officiating. Interment will follow in Rapps Mill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, 6 \"" 8:30 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540-586-3443.
