Charlotte E. Ripley

Charlotte Erika Ripley, 98, of Forest, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late Carl Edward Ripley for 45 years.
Born on May 2, 1922, in Leipe Kr. Jauer, Schlesien, Germany, she enjoyed a variety of jobs but retired from the Central Virginia Training School.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Cassise and her husband Joe; granddaughters, Megan Daley and her husband Mike, Kristin Morris, Whitney Hightower and her husband Jonathan; and her seven great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Skylar, Drew, Spencer, Wyatt, Sawyer, and Sulliver.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Ripley; her parents, Reinhold Wilheim Aust and Emma Mayar Aust; her brother, Alfred Aust; and her sister, Margaret McNeice.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 3, 2020, in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Joel Wallschlaeger officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
