Christie E. Weber

Christie E. Weber, 64, of Evington died Saturday August 18, 2012. She was the loving wife of Bob Weber for 42 years.

                                               

Christie was born June 2, 1948 in Bayonne, New Jersey a daughter of Edward Cappen of California and the late Edith Birkner Cappen. Christie worked as a credentialist for Centra Health and was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

 

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters: Elise Weber of Forest and Jennifer Phillips and her husband Chad of Lynchburg, her granddaughter Christie Anne Phillips, two sisters: Cheryl Marsh and her husband Ronald of New Kensington, PA, and Alison Cappen of Ralston, NE, a brother Mark Cappen of California and two close friends Leslie Lehman of Vinton and Karen Wamsly of Forest.    

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 22, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 23, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Mooney as celebrant. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
