Christine Templeton Campbell, 89, of Evington, died Saturday, August 5, 2017.
Born March 14, 1928, in Bedford County, Christine was a daughter of the late Tommie Loo Templeton and the late Mary Jones Templeton.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, 57 years, James Edward Campbell, four sisters, and one brother.
Christine is survived by a son, Keith Campbell, and his wife, Akiko, of Bradenton, FL; a daughter, Mary Lou Viar, of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Randy Greene’ and his wife, Melanie, and James White of Lynchburg, and Matthew, Leo, and Micah Campbell, all of Bradenton, Florida, and a granddaughter, Mila Greene, of Lynchburg.
Christine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a humble, kind hearted, comforter and nurturer of the family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Marsh Memorial UMC. A Celebration of Christine’s Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in at Marsh Memorial UMC. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions in Christine’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018, or Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
