Christopher Alan Barrack

Christopher Alan Barrack, 23, of Forest, died on Saturday, September 4, 2010 doing what he loved best, working on cars. He was the husband of Lesley Anderson Barrack. Chris was born in Charlotte, NC on August 1, 1987, the son of Carrie Karpenske Barrack and Roderick Clifton Barrack of Barrack\"™s Landing, Glass, VA.

 In addition to his wife and parents, Chris is survived by his grandparents, Jack and Peggy Karpenske of Lynchburg and Susan Reinecke and Russ Ferris of NC; his mother and father-in-law, Richard and Lisa Anderson of Goode; his aunts and uncles, Jennipher and Mike Lucado of Lynchburg, Jane and Jeff Bockert of NC, Sara and Rob Black of OR, Jonathan and Mary-Lynn Karpenske of NY and Gerald and Cindy Barrack of Gloucester; his grandmothers-in-law, Phyllis Anderson of Lynchburg and Janet Cox of Goode; his pet Doberman, Scooter and a large extended family and many good friends.

 He was predeceased by his grandfather, Reginald Clifton Barrack and his grandmother, Mary Geraldine Doyle.

 Chris graduated from Jefferson Forest High School and attended Central Virginia Community College. He was employed as an automotive mechanic with Berglund Kia of Lynchburg and attended Lynchburg Church of the Brethren.

 Chris was talented in many artistic mediums. He had a special love for his family and touched many lives with his sense of humor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Lynchburg Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Jack D. Karpenske officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service.

 Memorial contribution may be made in Chris\"™ memory to the Doberman Rescue League of the Triad, P. O. Box 14037, Greensboro, NC 27415.
