Christopher Jeffery Tarbell, 41, of Lynchburg, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Christopher was born on March 10, 1970 in Erie, PA. He was the beloved son of James Tarbell and Mary Scott.

He was welcomed into his eternal home by his sister, Judy T. Dahlkemper, who preceded him there.

In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his sisters Robin Green and her life partner, Barbara Brennan of Erie and Janice Logue and her husband Rocky, of Colonial Heights; his brother James Scott Tarbell of New Zealand; a brother-in-law Chris Dahlkemper of Richmond; his true love Jennifer Maul of Lynchburg; and a dear neighbor Diane Rygielski; Charlie and Winston, his \"boys\" miniature dachshunds. He also had many nieces and nephews and was loved by all.

Chris was the neighborhood watch coordinator for the Lynchburg Police Dept., who had become a special family to him. He was a former radio disc jockey in Erie, PA.  Chris graduated from Gannon University in Erie, PA.

Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 3550 Young Place, Lynchburg (the city IT building) at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lynchburg Police Dept., Police Foundation, 805 Court Street, Lynchburg, VA 24504.
