Christopher Michael Snowman, 49, of Forest, VA, died Thursday, February 06, 2014. He was the husband of Judith Ann Brahler Snowman for 23 years.
Born Monday, September 07, 1964 in Warwick, RI, Chris was a son of David Snowman and Carol Aponowich Snowman.
In addition to his wife and parents, Chris is survived by his children: Jason Lee Snowman, Jessica Lynn Snowman, and Sarah Elizabeth Snowman, all of Forest; his father-in-law and mother in\""law; Paul and JoAnne Brahler, Sr., of Forest; his brother, Greg Snowman and his wife, Julie, of Cifax, two brothers in-law: Paul Brahler, Jr. and John Brahler, both of Forest, a nephew, Andrew Snowman, of Lynchburg, a niece, Alex Snowman, of Lynchburg, a great nephew, Cayden Snowman, of Lynchburg, VA, and three aunts: Geri Aponowich and her husband Greg Sommerville, of Newport, RI, and Deborah Young and her husband, Richard, of Key West, FL., Deanna Kojer of CA, cousins: James, Trudy, Norma Jo and Glorie of CA.
Chris was preceded in death by an Aunt, Sandra Aponowich Driscoll, of Atlanta, GA., and grandparents Emma and Frank Aponowich of Newport, RI.
A graduate of Coginchaug Regional High School and the University of Connecticut,Chris will forever be remembered for his kind soul, selflessness, and the way the relationship formed between he and those in his life. Relatives, fellow classmates and teammates, golfing buddies, business colleagues, church members – all those who shared an interest at one level cherished a relationship that blossomed into one that was more aptly labeled, "genuine, loving friend".
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Chris's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Catharine Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Cemetery.
