Christophine Mohler

Christophine \"Chris\" Mohler, 89, of Lynchburg, died on Tuesday, March 05, 2013. She was born in Lowesville on July 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Samuel Edward Mohler and the late Susie Wood Mohler.

Chris is survived by two nephews, Darrin G. Johnson of Keswick and Lenwood Mohler of Elon, two cousins, Marvene Fisher of Lowesville and Wayne Wallen of DE, one great-nephew, Lenny Mohler of Madison Heights and a devoted friend, Thelma Roakes of Lynchburg. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Reva M. Johnson and Aleen M. Webb and one brother, Frederick Mohler.

Chris was a lifelong member of Piney River Baptist Church and was retired from Leggett Department Store in Lynchburg after forty-seven years of service.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Piney River Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Canipe officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg.
