Chyrl Starr Garner

Chyrl Starr Garner, 25, of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Virginia Baptist Hospital.

Starr was born on December 29, 1986, in Lynchburg. She is the daughter of John and Chyrl Sheffey and Steve Garner, all of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Katherine Garner, and grandparents, Estelle H. Karnes, Robert and Mary Garner and John L. Sheffey

In addition to her parents, Starr is survived by her maternal grandfather, Clyde J. Karnes of Bedford and her step-grandmother, Irene S. Sheffey of Lynchburg, a special buddy, Micah Sheffey, and her devoted caregiver for twenty years, Peggy M. Johnson, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 6:00 \"" 8:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, Va. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Bedford, VA.
