Clara Clowdis Johnson

 

Clara \"Beth\" Clowdis Johnson, 78, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully Monday, February 4, 2014 with her children by her side. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Clowdis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David \"Whitey\" P. Johnson and her siblings, Ned Clowdis and Marie Harper.

She is survived by her children Lynne J. Creasy (Thomas) and Keith P. Johnson (Nancy); siblings, William Clowdis (Peggy), Bobby Clowdis (Shirley Fay), Ann Crawley (Jim) Nancy Mitchell (Billy); grandchildren, Ashley C. Klepac (Andy), Lauren C. Colston (Scott), Hope Johnson; great-grandsons, Lucas, Matthew, and James Klepac; and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

We find peace and comfort in knowing our mother is no longer suffering and is rejoicing and is once again dancing in Heaven with her soul mate, Whitey. While we will miss her, we find grace in knowing she is in her Heavenly home and we look forward to carrying out the legacy she leaves. We celebrate by remembering her ability to touch lives with her smile and desire to enjoy life. The family would like to thank everyone who has poured out their hearts and supported Beth during her courageous battle.

A Celebration of Beth\"™s Life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Tharp Funeral Home and also from 2:00 \"" 3:00 PM Thursday at 159 White Pine Drive, Lynchburg.
