Clarence Hamlet Deaner Jr., 60, of Concord, VA, died Friday, February 24, 2012. He was the husband of Patricia Deaner for six years.
Clarence was born Tuesday, September 4, 1951 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of Lillie Harrell Deaner of Lynchburg and the late Clarence Hamlet Deaner, Sr.
In addition to his mother and spouse, he is survived by a brother, Barry Lee Deaner and wife, Judy of Lynchburg; two sisters: Brenda Deaner Hurt and husband J.Paul of Kansas City, KS and Cynthia Deaner Friend and husband Charles, of Charlottesville; four daughters: Catherine Deaner Harper of Amherst, Diane Deaner Bowling and husband Charles, of Madison Heights, Sarah Deaner Zimmerman and husband Nathan, and Lindsey Marie Deaner, of Lynchburg, and a son, Nathan Hamlet Deaner, of Lynchburg and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Glenn Allison Deaner.
Clarence was a Paramedic and a member of Campbell County Rescue Squad for 30 years. He loved and was a collector of many types of guns and loved hunting. He also was involved in politics and letting everyone know his feelings of the issues on hand.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Campbell County Rescue Squad, 155 Rainbow Forest Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24502. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
