Clarence Herbert Brown, Jr., 70, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Morris Brown.
Clarence was born December 7, 1950, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey a son of the late Clarence Herbert Brown, Sr. and Ingeborg Tomaschek Brown. Clarence was retired as a operating room technician with Lynchburg General Hospital, enjoyed watching Thomas Road Baptist Church services, and spending time with his beloved family.
He is survived by his two children: Sarah Muñoz (Michael) of Lynchburg and Matt Brown (Caitlin) of Broadway, NC, three grandchildren: Tyler, Preston, and Raelyn Brown, one brother Raymond Brown of Penn., two nephews: Jason Brown and Ray Brown, Jr. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A Celebration of Clarence’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
