On June 12, 2024, Clarence Odell “Speedy” Sigmon, age 90, departed on his final journey. He was born on February 12, 1932, in Dry Fork, VA, the son of William Odell Sigmon and Mary Lee Hickman Sigmon Milton. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, James Oscar Milton; and a brother, Curtis and two sisters Lucille and Barbara. Clarence was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Bedford. Speedy was an over-the-road trucker for Sam Moore Furniture Company for many years and loved to speak of his travels. After leaving Sam Moore, his love for travel didn’t wane. He and his wife enjoyed more adventures. Clarence was very talented in many areas. He was a jack of all trades and mastered them all from plumbing, electrical, building, mechanics. He could do it all and was self-taught.
