Clarence "Ted" Edward Robertson

Clarence “Ted” Edward Robertson, 80, of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was the loving husband of Anita H. Robertson.

Born on May 8, 1935, Ted was the son of the late Marvin and Patty Robertson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lola Esther Robertson.

In addition to his wife, Anita, Ted leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Joann Almond, his children, Tony Robertson and his wife, Tammy, and their children, Blake and Kensley Robertson,  Troy Robertson and his wife, Brenda and their children, Terry Robertson and his wife, Ashlee, and Mary Salmon and her husband, Ryan, Terri Staton and her husband, Glen, Kim Goff, Lisa Hill, Marty Buchanan, and Scott Buchanan; ten additional grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Ted worked for many years in the maintenance department of Lynchburg General Hospital. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping at the beach and in the mountains. Ted was a people person and got along with everybody he met. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He could make or fix anything he put his hands on, and was a wonderful man of multiple talents. He will be deeply missed and was loved by everyone.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held at the Tyreeanna United Methodist Church Cemetery on Monday, April 25, 2016, at 10 a.m. with Pastor James Martin officiating.
