Clarence William Frazier

Clarence William “Bill” Frazier, 86, of Rustburg, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was the husband of the late Minnie Mae Schwitzerlett Frazier.

Born on October 1, 1929, he was a son of the late John and Hessie Frazier. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army First Calvary Division during the Korean Conflict. An active member of the Campbell County community, he volunteered for Campbell County Social Services. He was also a charter member of the Rustburg Ruritan Club and the Rustburg Fire Department. Bill was a lifetime member of Rustburg United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee, and he owned Frazier Furniture Company.

In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Frazier, Herman Frazier, John Frazier, and Lloyd Frazier; and his sisters, Emma Sue Rector, Pearl Cyrus, Karissa Davidson, Helen Wood, Mildred Williams, Julia Cyrus, and Louise Coleman.

Bill is survived by his sons, William Edward “Bo” Frazier and Becky, and Robert Steven Frazier and Vickie; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Frazier, Chrysti Frazier Agan, Tangie Berry and Mike, and Danny Windon; his great-grandchildren, Bailey Berry, Jackson Berry, and Kyden James Frazier; his sister, Kathleen Bagby; his brother, Edward “Buster” Frazier; his special friend, Marjorie Raitzyk; and his devoted furry companion, Toby.

The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Rustburg United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sung Woon Yoo officiating. Interment will follow at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery.
