Clark Edward Fitzgerald

Clark Edward Fitzgerald, 76, of Lynchburg, our loving father past away Saturday July 9, 2011. He was the husband of the late Kathryn Watson Fitzgerald.

Clark was born August 29, 1934 in Bedford the son of the late Corbett Fitzgerald, Sr. and Dorothy Nicely Fitzgerald. Clark enjoyed listening to country music and was a very fun person who was loved by many. We his family would like to give a special thanks to close loving friends Barbara Thurman, Ann May, and Linda Tuck.

He is survived by four daughters; Sharon Alley of Lynchburg, Patricia Hawkins and husband Doug of Lynchburg, Brenda Hudson and husband Stephen of Mobile, AL, and Vickie Dunkley of Lynchburg, a son Gary Fitzgerald of Lynchburg, a step-son Rick Watson and wife Chris of Newark, OH, two brothers; Preston Fitzgerald and wife Nancy of Lynchburg, and Barry Fitzgerald and wife Angelinta of Madison Heights, two sisters; Carrie Hamlett of Lynchburg and Lillian Doss of Madison Heights, and 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by seven brothers.

A Celebration of Clark\"™s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday July 12, 2011 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with the Rev. Woody Hudson officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
