Clark Wilson Turner Sr.

Clark Wilson Turner Sr., 93, of Gladys, died at his Runk and Pratt residence on Sunday, April 11, 2010.  He was the husband of the late Grace Jennings Turner.

Clark was born April 08, 1917 in Appomattox County, VA, a son of the late James Stratton Turner and Vera Lee Godsey Turner. He worked hard all his life as a farmer until he retired at the age of 88.

He is survived by his children, Arthur Turner and his wife, Dottie of Gladys, Ann Reynolds and her husband Terrell of Rustburg, Marion McAlpin of Brentwood, TN, Nancy Grishaw of Tampa, FL, Clark \"Joe\" Turner and his wife Marina of Rustburg, and Michael \"Mike\" Turner and his wife Linda of Rustburg; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Steve, Arthur, Jr., Laura, Julie, Jason, Michelle, Todd G., Todd M., Jennifer, John, and Brooke; 19 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; and a sister Virginia Thacker of Baltimore, MD.

In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his two children, Mildred \"Millie\" Hardwick Mitchell and James \"Jimmy\" Turner.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
