Claudine Coleman

Claudine Faith Booth Coleman, 88 of Wilmington, N.C. died Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was the wife of the late Ralph Warren Coleman Sr. for nearly 70 years.

She was born May 15, 1935 to the late Claude Hunter and Mary Wood Booth.

Claudine graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1952. She had a scholarship to attend Virginia Baptist where she trained to be a Surgical Nurse. Claudine was an avid bowler and was appointed as the Secretary/Treasurer and held various positions in the league. She loved and nurtured her children and her grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her son Timothy Lee Coleman, her daughter-in-law Julie M. Coleman, and her brother, John H. Booth and sister Jane B. Reed.

Claudine is survived by her brother Aubrey Booth and sister, Nancy B. Duncan of Lynchburg. She is also survived by her children Robin Faith Edney (Charles), R. Warren Coleman Jr. (Janet), and Martin H. Coleman; her grandchildren, Faith R. Vann (Derrick), Martina A. Hill (Rickey), Chase W. and Hunter D. Coleman, Charles Edney, Jr. and Randy Martinelli, her great grandchildren Rachel Hill-Malpass (Milton), Jordan Perry, Nathan Perry, Lainey and Coleman Vann.

She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Fred E. Coleman and James Reed and her sister in law, Virginia B. Hubbard; many cousins, nephews and nieces. 

The family would like to thank her wonderful neighbors for all the kind and special things they did for Claudine.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with a service immediately following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
