Clay Anderson Worley

Clay Anderson Worley, 79, of Forest passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his home. He was retired from the U. S. Navy and the Real Estate Business.
In addition to his parents, Sam and Sarah Worley, Clay was preceded in death by three brothers, five half-sisters and four half- brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Dalton Worley; daughter: Cynthia Worley, daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Mike Bowles; daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Richard Helbling; grandchildren: Crystal and Winton Tyree, David Helbling, Leah Helbling, Jacob Helbling, Clay O. Worley; two great grandchildren: Madisyn and Adrianna Tyree; one sister: Gladys Light of Roanoke; four brothers: Wilford Worley of Gretna, Charlie Worley of Alexandria, VA, Oscar Lee Worley of Gretna, VA and Doug Worley of Concord, N. C. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 am with Jason Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park with Military Honors.
