Clifford Johnston, 59, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Milton Johnston and Evelyn Vivian Turner Johnston of New York; and one brother Mark Johnston of California.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Ashley Edlin Johnston; his son, William Clifford Johnston; three brothers, Eric Johnston and wife Brandy of Georgia, Charles Johnston and wife Joyce, of New York , Ralph Johnston and wife Lisa of Maryland; one sister, Dana Johnston, of Maryland; a loving Father and Mother in law Dr. Gerald Edlin and Linda of Lynchburg; one sister in law, Jennifer Farr, of Lynchburg, and brother-in-law, Brian Edlin and wife, Missy, of North Carolina. Clifford is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved him dearly.
Clifford enjoyed serving on the Diconate at First Christian Church.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at First Christian Church with Pastor Cyd Cowgill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be offered in his memory to the First Christian Church, 3109 Rivermont Ave, Lynchburg, Va. 24503.
