Clive William “Bill” Hylton, 76, of Bedford died Friday, September 19, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Judy Hylton for 8 years.
Born January 11, 1938 in Radford, VA, he was a son of the late Clive Weddle Hylton. and Verna Mae James Hylton. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Rudder and James Rudder.
Bill served in the United States Air Force for 14 years. He was a member of the National Air Defense Foundation (NADF).In addition he also worked for numerous years as a certified flight instructor. He loved skeet shooting and was honored with many ribbons and awards for his achievements. Bill also enjoyed scuba diving and gardening.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four children, Debbie Hylton Mason, Donna Lynne Hylton, Karren Marie Hylton and Connie Sue Hylton; eight grandchildren, Adrianna Mason, Kiersten Mason, Kaitlin Lemaster, Loren “Cole” Hylton, Bonita Maitland, Danielle Outland, Traye Crawley, Dagan Crawley; one brother, Donald Rudder; and also numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
