Clyde M. Glover

Clyde M. (Buddy) Glover Jr., 71, of Richmond, VA died Saturday, May 26, 2012. He was the loving husband of Marilyn Branch Glover for fifty years.

 Buddy was born June 30, 1940 in Clifton Forge, VA, the son of the late Clyde Merritt Glover, Sr and the late Ethel Mae Garbee Glover. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1963 \"" 1965. He retired from the oil, chemical and manufacturing industry as plant manager. He graduated from VMI in 1962 as a strong and dedicated alumnae who loved attending the football games. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of history and visiting the battlegrounds throughout the United States. Buddy especially appreciated the Civil War. He always supported his family by attending horseback and sporting events. He was a brilliant, well read man who also had a strong sense of humor and was very kind.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Michelle Molnar of Jackson, New Jersey and Diana Phillips of Rochester, New York; four grandchildren: Rebecca Hulse, Garrett Hulse, Danielle Phillips and Shelby Phillips, numerous cousins and his beloved poodle, Emma.

 A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Garbee Family Cemetery, 3066 Lawyers Road, Lynchburg, VA with the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating.
