Constance Cox Pinn, 92 of Lynchburg, Virginia, peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was the wife of the late Forest Pinn, Sr.
Born in Appomattox County, Virginia, April 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Richard Cox and Lillie Mae Cox-Hughes. In addition, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Cox, Sr. sister, Alberta Odom and grandson, Clayton Edwards.
Constance accepted Christ at an early age serving in White Rock Baptist Church. She was a devoted woman of God who loved reading the Bible. After she married, she moved her church membership to Brookville Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly with the Kitchen Committee. She attended Dunbar High School, Lynchburg, Virginia. Constance worked at Lynchburg City Schools as a bus aide and retired from First Colony Life. After retirement she went on to work for Pettyjohn Co until she finally retired for good.
She was a lover of her family, good food and music. She enjoyed socializing with her peers, especially with Ma Poe, and the late Shirley Tweedy and Johnny Rogers.
Constance is survived by her four children, Tanya Dickerson (Robert) of Burlington NJ, Eunice Hughes (Perry) of Lynchburg, VA, Alan Pinn (Ada) of Lynchburg, VA, and Forest Pinn, Jr. of Victoria, TX; eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg on Friday October 13, 2023 at 11 A.M. with interment to follow at Presbyterian Cemetery.
