Cordelia Ann Bruce

Cordelia Ann Bruce, 71, of Hunt Valley, MD and formerly of Bedford, VA died Monday, May 12, 2014 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1942, a daughter of the late Rawlings Edward Bruce and Dorothy Irene Gibbs Bruce.

In addition to her parents, Cordelia was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Bruce.

Cordelia was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and a retired music teacher with over 30 years’ service with the Baltimore County School System.

Cordelia is survived by her cousins, Patricia Anderson and her husband, Frank of Danville, VA and Susie Reynolds and her husband, Jeffrey of Salem, VA; a special caregiver, Paco Gonzalez; and many other friends throughout her career.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, May 16, 2014 in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. George J. Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home.  Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
