Corey Wayne Yancey

Corey Wayne Yancey, 33, of Gladstone, Va. went to be with his Father on November 16, 2023. He was the loving and devoted fiancé of Kassidy Tyree for 10 years.

Corey was born in Lynchburg, Va. on January 4,1990, son of the late Benjamin Franklin Yancey and Mary Campbell Yancey of Amherst.

Corey loved the simple things in life. As an avid outdoorsman, he could often be found fishing from a riverbank or hunting and camping in the woods. He had six dogs and two cats whom he adored.

In addition to his mother and fiancé, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle Martin of Amherst; son, Casper Williams of Madison Heights; two brothers, Allen Yancey (Jessica) of Shipman and Billy Yancey of Madison Heights; two sisters, Armanda Yancey (Flip) of Amherst and Crystal Jones (Mike) of Staunton; grandmothers, Betty Loving and Claudine Campbell; nephews, Ernest, Christian, C-Jay and Dallas; nieces, Nikki, Bailee, Aleah, and Emma; great niece, Paislee; and his 2 dear friends, TJ Burks and Brandon Tyree. Corey is also survived by Kasey Tyree (Nick)of Amherst, Alex Tyree of Amherst, and Karlee Tyree of Appomattox.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
