Corine Dorothy Mcgeoch

Corine McGeoch, 81, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy McGeoch.
Corine was born July 28, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church and enjoyed serving with Autumn Angels, visiting shut-ins and going on day trips with the seniors group. Corine was a wonderful cook and loved hosting not only her family but any and all who wanted to join in the feasting! Most of all, she looked forward to spring when the bluebirds returned. She loved watching the courting and singing, nest building, egg laying and finally the fledging of the new baby birds. Corine rejoiced in the beauty of God’s creation and worshiped Him through the sunrises, sunsets, and season’s change. Her children recall her phoning them beginning late August when the first leaf would show any sign of changing to exclaim, “It’s starting” with all the anticipation of a child looking forward to Christmas break!
Corine is survived by her children: Fred (Terri) Conner, Dorine (Dennis) Hollandsworth, Dottie (Randy) Smith, Susan (Danny) Kagerer; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; her brother Charles (Maryann) McGeoch; and many loving friends in the community.
In addition to her parents, Corine is predeceased by her two brothers James McGeoch and David McGeoch.
A memorial service will be held on June 3, 2022, at 11 AM at Heritage Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA with Pastor Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Following the service, a private family burial will be held at Virginia Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center or the Humane Society of Lynchburg, VA. Corine was the heartbeat of the home and will be terribly missed by her children and all who knew her.
