Cornelia “Kate” Johnson

Cornelia \"Kate\" Stribling Johnson, 95, of Forest, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013. She was the wife of the late Clymoth Nathaniel Johnson. Kate was born in Oak Hill, WV on October 15, 1917, a daughter of the late William Neal Stribling and the late Okey Mae Stover Stribling.

Kate is survived by two daughters, Coni L. Dutka and husband, Ted of Hartville, OH and Joyce E. Petrochko and husband, Bob of Forest, VA; one son, Gary Johnson and wife, Pat of Hurricane, WV; five grandchildren, Chad Dutka and wife, Jen of Westerville, OH, Adam Dutka and wife, Erin of Sherrills Ford, NC, Amanda Anderson of Hartville, OH, Bethany Coffey and husband, Nathan, of Lynchburg, VA and Justin Petrochko and wife, Marissa of Denver, CO; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Dutka, Logan Dutka, Kate Dutka all of Sherrills Ford, NC, Makayla Anderson-Dutka of Hartville, OH and Elle Dutka of Westerville, OH.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kate was predeceased by two brothers, Neal and Bill Stribling and two sisters, Jewel S. Barnett and Donna Shaltoches.

Kate was a homemaker and former member of Highlawn Community Chapel and Open Bible Baptist Church both in St. Albans, WV.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the chapel of Casdorph and Curry Funeral Home, Inc. in St. Albans, WV, officiated by Justin Petrochko, Chad Dutka and Adam Dutka. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans, WV. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
