Cornelia Wilson Goff

Cornelia Wilson Goff, 93, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Oakwood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bedford. She was born on September 3, 1927, in Bedford, VA. A daughter of the late, Jerry and Ellen Wilson. In addition to her parents Cornelia was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd William Goff.

Cornelia loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and her beloved friends. She was a wonderful cook and always looked forward to a meal with family. She also loved gospel music especially old traditional hymns. Her love for the outdoors was also well known and she loved feeding her squirrels and birds.  She is survived by her five children, Lloyd Danny Goff and his wife, Debbie, Larry Neal Goff and his wife, Dorothy, Charles Edward Goff and his wife, Kay, Claudine G. Burton and her husband, Danny and Brenda Sue Martin and her husband, Bruce. ten grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Elkins and Louise Goff and one brother, Claude “Tootsie” Wilson. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A graveside service and celebration of Cornelia’s life will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Harry Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford.
