Cornelus Cornell Prince

Mr. Cornelus Cornell Prince, 73, of 177 Apple Way, Madison Heights, VA, departed this life Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Avante of Lynchburg. Born in Garysburg, NC on April 12, 1943, he was the son the late John and Priscilla Prince.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Mrs. Ementha Buck Prince, one son Sean Prince of Marietta, GA, one brother Rev. John Prince, Jr. (Dorothy) of Raleigh, NC, two sister in laws, one brother in law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and was retired from Lynchburg Community Action Group as Head Start Coordinator for 39 years.
The family will receive friends from 7 – 8 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, 118 Commonwealth Drive, Madison Heights, VA and other times at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Ford as eulogist. His remains will lie in repose one hour prior to the service. The cortege will assemble at the church.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
