Courtney Leigh Middleton, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2023 at the age of 62. Courtney was born in Lexington, North Carolina on May 8, 1961, and was the daughter of Doris B. Kent and Albert E. Batts, Jr.
Courtney was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Gordan, and is survived by a sister, Anne K. Wojcikowski, and her niece and nephews: Alexandra Wojcikowski, William Wojcikowski, Kent Levin, and Jacob Levin. Her beloved dog, Ducky, will continue to be loved and spoiled by the Wojcikowski family.
Courtney was a devout Christian, had a heart of gold, and always saw the best in people.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ian McManamey officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
