Although Curtis was our \"Stepdad\" he took on a father roll from our very first meeting. We were always \"his girls\". He never hesitated to come if we needed him. He was always kind, gentle and compassionate, ready to lend an ear or a hand. We loved to hear his stories and would laugh for hours with everyone. He loved each of us as if we were his own, and we loved him even more than that. Curtis was also a wonderful Papa and Great -Granddad to all of our children. He enjoyed going to see them play sports or having some birthday \"cakel\".
We will miss him; he was the best Daddy in the world.
The family will hold a private memorial service for Curtis at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center 1701 Thomson Drive Lynchburg, VA 24501.
