Cynthia Anne Sims Mehaffey

Cynthia Anne Sims Mehaffey, 67, of Bedford, VA died on Friday, November 24, 2023. Cynthia was born in Bedford, VA on September 25, 1956, to the late William Alex Sims Sr. and Janie Harrison Sims.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, William Alex Sims Jr., James Ernest Sims, Frank Gary Sims.

Cynthia was a member of Terrace View Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Glen Mehaffey and wife Briana; brothers, Michael Sims, Kenneth Sims and wife Barbara; Ex-husband Lawrence Glenn Mehaffey Jr.; grandson, Brayden James Mehaffey; and numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford with the Pastor Brian Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please consider Terrace View Baptist Church general fund.
