Cynthia Marlene Worley, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023. She was born on November 17, 1958, a daughter of Nancy D. Worley and the late Clay A. Worley.
Cynthia was a graduate of Brookville High School, after graduating school she went into the workforce. She was passionate about arts and crafts and being out in nature. For most of her life she was employed by Campbell County Schools as a bus driver and especially loved driving the Brookville Bees to their various sporting events.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky O. Worley.
Cynthia is survived by her mother and her children, Crystal Tyree (Winton) and Clay O. Worley; three grandchildren, Madisyn Tyree, Adrianna Tyree, and Zoie Worley; three stepchildren; numerous step grand and great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Bowles (Mike), and Tammy Helbling (Richard); two nephews, David and Jacob Helbling; and one niece, Leah Helbling.
A visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg with interment to follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
