Dabney Carr Loving Sr., 85, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, October 23, 2014. He was the husband of Lynne Young Loving.
Born Monday, October 07, 1929 in Lynchburg, Dabney was a son of the late George Gilmer Loving and the late Ora Carr Loving.
In addition to his wife, Dabney is survived by children: Dabney Carr Loving, Jr., and his wife, Ivonne, of Austin, TX, Hunter Y. Carwile, and his wife, Laurie, of Columbus, GA, Kimbrough Loving Brafford and her husband Rick, of Lynchburg, Marion Loving Coleman and her husband, Bill, of Lynchburg; six grandchildren: Dabney Loving, III,
Elizabeth Carwile, Ricky Brafford and his wife, Sami, Marion Hedgepeth and her husband, Banks, Asher Brafford, and Christopher Walters and his wife, Marissa, and four great grandchildren.
Dabney was a loving husband, father, and family man. As a businessman and entrepreneurial person, he loved acquiring knowledge through technology and computers. He especially enjoyed teaching and imparting wisdom to young people. He served the Lord all his life and was a spiritual father to many.
A celebration of Dabney’s life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Lighthouse Foursquare Church with Pastor Clifford King and Pastor Rick Brafford officiating.
