Daniel Lee Drumheller

Daniel \"Danny\" Lee Drumheller, 66, of Madison Heights, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 28, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Maggie \"Sue\" Payne Drumheller.

Danny was born May 6, 1947 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Franklin Eugene Drumheller and the late Janie Simpson Drumheller. Danny was a Master Carpenter and retired machinist from the Lynchburg Foundry. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church. He loved his church, his family and his pets: Buffy, Julie and Baby.

In addition to his wife, he left behind to cherish his memory, his sons: Michael Drumheller and Angie Goin of Lynchburg, Charlie Payne of Goode and Jason Payne of Lynchburg, daughters: Tammy Wood and Kelly Blackwelder and husband Brad, all of Lynchburg, a brother Franklin Drumheller, Jr. and wife Gloria of Troy, MI, mother-in-law Mattie Burnette of Madison Heights, six grandchildren: Aimee, Amber, Sara, Corrick, Patrick and C.J., and three great-grandchildren: Brody, Karter and Camden and numerous nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Drumheller Harlow.

Danny was hardworking, compassionate, kind, giving and warmed all of our hearts with his contagious smile. To know him was to love him. Our hearts are broken and he will be greatly missed until we meet again.

A Celebration of Danny\"™s Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday August 1, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Jacob Uthup officiating. A reception will follow the service.
