Daniel Thomas Perrow

Daniel Thomas Perrow, 87, of Lynchburg, VA, died Saturday, December 22, 2012. He was the husband of Robbie Duff Perrow for 57 years.

Born Sunday, April 19, 1925 in Campbell County, Daniel was a son of the late William Mahone Perrow and the late Kate Candler Perrow.

In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by a brother, Paul Edward Perrow and his wife, Dorothy, of Lynchburg, a God-Child, Jennifer Stinnett Winn and her husband, Bryan, and their two children, Griffin and Addison, Chesterfield, VA, many caring and loving nieces and nephews, and special friends, Raymond Dillard and Kim Brown.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by four brothers: Ted, Malcolm, Samuel, and Cecil Perrow; and two sisters: Gladys Perrow Scrogham, and Alise Perrow Downey.

Daniel was retired from Craddock Terry Shoe Company. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in France and Germany. He was awarded two purple hearts and a Good Conduct Medal.  He was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, and at other times at the residence. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Becky Cloud officiating.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church, 4660 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, VA, 24502.

The family would like to thank Lynchburg Health and Rehab and Centra Hospice for the loving care given to Daniel while he was in their care.
