Danny Gerald Grigsby passed away on September 16, 2020. He was born in Fort Pickett, Virginia on August 28, 1953 to Gerald & Mary Grigsby. He is survived by daughter Kimberly Crocker and her husband Brandon and Poppy to Granddaughter Fiona Rose. Sister Vicki and her husband Jerry Joyce, brother Gary and his wife Dale Grigsby, brother Tony and his wife Cathy Grigsby, brother Barry Grigsby, sister Mary Grigsby.
Danny grew up as an Army Brat traveling all over. His fondest memories were of living in Germany as a kid. He was a Graduate of Rustburg High School, class of ’72.
Danny was the former City Manager of the original Plaza Theater and the Boonsboro Cinema, and was in the movie theater business for over 14 years, from 1973-87. He was a talented artist and known comic book illustrator. Danny was the owner of New Quest Comics in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center from 1987-96. He went on to work at ABC/WSET as a Commercial Producer from 1997-2016.
Danny was a beloved actor on the stage working with the Little Town Players in Bedford, The Lynchburg Fine Arts Center, Cherry Tree Players, and Renaissance Theater.
Danny loved Elton John, the Beatles, Superheroes and everything Marilyn Monroe! And the Texas Inn- Chili extra chili.
Due to the restrictions set upon us during the pandemic, there will be a small family ceremony. We will go Live on Facebook to share his Celebration of Life for everyone to view Virtually on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, at 2:30pm. (Link will be added)

If you wish to stop by and pay your respects. Masks will be required. Also, to honor Danny, we are asking everyone to wear a movie theme or superhero t-shirt. This day is for celebration and laughter!!
