Darren Rodney Hamlette departed his life from a long battle with cancer at Lynchburg General Hospital on May 1, 2019. He attended LCA and later graduated from E.C. Glass High School.
Darren was proceeded in death by his Mother Yvonne Stevens Hamlette and Father Herman Hamlette Sr., three sisters Leshia, Tammy, and Deborah Hamlette, two uncles Roy and George Stevens, and one cousin Lisa Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers Tives Hamlette, Herman Hamlette Jr., and Michael Hamlette (Deborah), two aunts Deloris Mizzell (Mike) and Aliece Hamlette, two uncles Sammie Stevens and Rev. Charles Hamlette, seven nieces Leshia Hamlette Mosby (Adelrick), Tamika Hamlette Alexander, Katrice Richardson, Kasey Brogdon, Latoria Napier, April Locket, Dominique Goode, four nephews Michael Davis Sr. (Millie), Tezz Hamlette, William Hamlette, and Walter Mann. Darren also leaves a host of family and friends. Per Darrens request he wished not to have a funeral service nor a memorial service however, we will be accepting family and friend at 618 Franklin St Lynchburg VA 24504 on May 5, 2019 at 5pm. The family thank you for the many prayers and comfort shown to them during this time.
