David Allen Tucker 77 of Forest, Va. died at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital on Tuesday, December 10th. Husband to Anea Candy Butler Tucker for 38 years. Born June 9, 1947 in Lynchburg, son to David Howard Tucker and Thelma Taylor Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his sister Krista Tucker Rawls. David graduated from Brookville High School. He was a US Army veteran who served his country with pride. He was an employee of Archer Creek Foundry for 30 years.
Survived by his daughter Jennifer Tucker Waldrop and husband Lee, their children Brynlee and Tucker. His son, David Neal Tucker and wife Kelly and their sons Knox, Nash, Xav and Drew. Also survived by nieces, Sara Rawls Pinson and Noel and Kirsta Rawls Fanning and Taylor and his two great nieces Maddie and Charlotte. He is also survived by sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and James Nagorski and three nieces, Tracey Adkins, Angela Hensley Lewis, and David and Kimberly Hensley Groeneveld and John. Also grand nieces and nephews.
David was a wonderful drummer who played in bands Southern Comfort, Savannah Jack and Highway 29. He was most happy when playing music with his many friends. He was known for the love of his first dog King, Buck, Scoot and Jazz Boo. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in his backyard. David was also a lover of vehicles.
The family will be receiving friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, January 9, 2024.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lynchburg Humane Society.
