David Allen Wiley
David Allen Wiley, 65 of Forest, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Martha Klocke Wiley for 39 years.
He was born in Crewe, VA, on July 28, 1948, a son of Velma Beaver Payne and the late Jesse Kyle Wiley. He graduated from VCU in 1975. David was an insurance agent with Allstate for the past 27 years and enjoyed having many wonderful customers. He was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
David served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid golfer and tennis player. He was an amazing cook. He loved his family and friends.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his children: a son, Joshua Wiley (Tiffany), a daughter, Allison Wiley (Chad), a grandson, Luke Wiley Rakos all of Lynchburg, brothers, James Wiley (Sue) of Crewe, VA and Jack Wiley (Sarah) of Boone, NC.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 10, 2013 at Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church, 21206 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502. The Reverend Charles B. Willoughby and the Reverend David Etheridge will be officiating. The family will receive friends with a reception following the service.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at the Alan B. Pearson cancer center and the staff of Lynchburg General Hospital.
