David Ray Johnson born January 14, 1957 to Inez Owen Johnson Tolley of Lynchburg and the late Oscar Johnson of Brookneal passed away August 14, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center.
He was preceded in death by beloved wife Priscilla Clement Johnson, brothers James Oscar Johnson, Tony Carrol Johnson and stepfather John Wyatt Tolley.
He is survived by his mother Inez Tolley, nephew James Donald Johnson of Lynchburg and a niece Denise Dickerson (Chris) of Brookneal, 2 great nephews of Brookneal, and close friends and co-workers from Sentry Equipment where he was employed for 34 years.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. today, Sunday August 17, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday August 18, 2014 at Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Turner officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society 3305 Naval Reserve Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24501.
