David Thomas Nichols

David Thomas Nichols, Sr. 83, of Goode, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1934 in Bedford, VA. A son of the late Early Nichols and Minnie Jenkins Nichols. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Bonnie Hull and David “Tommy” Nichols, Jr.; five siblings, George, Frances, Agnes, Gertrude and Hubert and Eleanor Padgett.

David loved spending time in his garden working with his flowers and veggies. He enjoyed fellowship with his family and friends. He was a member of Norwood Baptist Church in Forest, Bedford Moose Lodge #1897 and retired from Banker Steel.

David is survived by one daughter, Brenda Mathis and her husband, Barry; five grandchildren, Josey Hull and fiancée, Jon, Trampas Hull and wife, Jami, Holly Neufeld and husband, Hunter, Jenna Rice and husband, Baron and Virgil Mathis; five great grandchildren; three brother, Gene, Ed and Roger Nichols; a son-in-law Austin Hull. Also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
