David Scott Tomlin "Lizzard"

David Scott Tomlin “Lizzard”, 53, of Rustburg passed away at his home Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was the son of the late Elwood and Dorothy Tomlin.

David was a hard worker and made sure his wife and son never went without. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone and was always there to lend a helping hand. David was an avid Hunter and Fisherman and loved vacationing with his family in the Outer Banks. He loved the mountains of Amherst County, especially the Piney River area. He also loved to cook and grill.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stephanie Tomlin; his only son, Casey Tomlin; sister, Becky Burks (Steve Cash); Mother and Father in law who loved him like a son, Larry and Rhonda Campbell; special sister in law, Raven Campbell; uncle, Bernard Tomlin (Patsy); special cousin, Scott Tomlin and family; best friend, Steve and Pam Cash and family, and several nieces, nephews and his beloved friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 26, 2024 Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
