View Tribute VideoDavid Warren Litchford, Jr., 76, of Amherst, died Thursday, April 19, 2018. He was the husband of the late Janet Dudley Litchford for 53 years.
In Addition to his wife, Warren was preceded in death by his parents, the late David Litchford and the late Anther Litchford Colinger, and a daughter, Scarlet Scott.
Warren is survived by his daughters, Anne Litchford, of Amherst, and Diane Litchford Ashley, and her husband, Junior, of Rustburg, a son in-law, Charles Scott, of Madison Heights, four grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a brother, Ronald Litchford and his wife, Meriam, of Amherst, and two sisters, Wanda Litchford Ginn, and her husband, Walter, of Friendswood, TX, and Cammy Moore, of Appomattox, close friend, Anita Litchford, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Warren was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved music and having a good time. He proudly served our country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Army. He will be missed.
The family will receive friends and family on Monday, April 23, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights. A Celebration of Warren’s Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Stewart Mitchell officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monelison Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 56, Madison Heights, VA 24572
