David Yeeles

David Yeeles, 65, of Bedford passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born on December 3, 1957. A son of Thomas Yeeles, Jr and Martha C. Yeeles of Vienna, VA. David was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Yeeles, and his brother Robert Yeeles.

David loved music, having played several instruments. He also played in several local bands. His strong work ethic was very contagious. During David’s work career he was employed by Golden West Foods who merged with Brooks Food Group before their closing in 2012. Afterwards he went to work at Lowes Home Improvement in Bedford. He also enjoyed spending time on Smith Mountain Lake. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly. 

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his siblings, Karen Yeeles (Matt Fleetwood), Fredericksburg, VA; Richard Yeeles, Vienna, VA ; and Jeffrey Yeeles, Alexandria, VA;  and his stepchildren, Elizabeth Phelan, Tazwell, VA, and Ray Marshall, Warrenton, VA

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00pm on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford. Interment will be at a later date in Flint Hill Cemetery, Oakton, VA.
