Dawson Jarrett Clay, 16-month old son of Michelle Crosby Clay and Kevin Danvers Clay, of Forest, went home to be with Jesus Monday, November 1, 2010. Dawson was born Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Lynchburg.
Dawson was a precious boy who loved to play, watch cartoons, give sweet, sloppy kisses, tease his doggy Vannah, have growling contests, loved to dance to music, always smiled and shared his joy with everyone around him. \"He was a comet that shone brightly and faded too quickly, but our hearts are forever illuminated for having known him.\"
In addition to his parents, his life is celebrated by his brothers, Austin and Benjamin; a sister, Caroline; his grandparents: Robert and Diana Clay of Williamsburg, L. James and Linda Crosby of Daleville; his aunts and uncles: Brian and Tess Clay, Chris and Laura Oglesby, Brandon and Crysty Knowles, Scott and Young Crosby, Shaun and Amy Crosby, Bryan and Lindsay Fitz, Kyle and Lauren Bryant, and Allison Crosby; and ten loving cousins.
We would love for the community to come and be blessed by the service, which will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010, at Blue Ridge Community Church with the Pastor David Kountz officiating. All who would like to see our sweet angel, Dawson, may do so beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A private interment will take place in Virginia Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Allow the Children (Tibetan Trust Home) c/o Shea Foster at BRCC. To share your thoughts with the family, please visit: www.facebook.com/pages/In-Memory-of-Dawson-Clay.
