Deanna Owen DeCarmo

Deanna Owen DeCarmo, 80, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was married to Rev. John R. DeCarmo for 53 years. 

Deanna was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii on November 28, 1943. She is the daughter of the late Kuen Mo Owen and Daisy Han Oak Owen.  She is survived by her children: Michael R. DeCarmo of Hackberry, AZ; David J. DeCarmo of Chesapeake, VA; Elaine C. DeCarmo of Honolulu, HI; and Jonathan D. DeCarmo of Lynchburg, VA. Nine grandchildren: Andrea, Mary, Amanda, Cristie, Victoria, Owen, Kamryn, Noah, and Dylan, and 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Deanna is survived by sisters Joanna Wheeler and Jere Owen-Ferro, and brother Thomas Owen. In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by her husband John Robert DeCarmo; her oldest brother, Francis Owen; brother Vincent Po Young Owen; brother-in-law, Alan Wheeler; nephews, Kalani Wheeler, and Jeremy Goodman.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Tree of Life Ministries, Lynchburg.

A Celebration of Life for Deanna will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Tree of Life Ministries in Lynchburg with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Tree of Life Cemetery in Altavista. (Aloha attire is recommended, but not required.)
