Deborah Geer Vojt
Deborah Geer Vojt, 76, of Moneta, passed away Friday, November 01, 2013. Born June 17, 1937 in Hempstead, NY; she was daughter of the late Northrup Geer and Elizabeth Duffield Geer.
Deborah was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed salt water fishing, camping and being outdoors. She loved her job as a legal assistant at Johnson Ayers & Matthew Law Firm in Roanoke, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by a son, John Barry Schmidt. She is survived by her loving husband, John Vojt, Jr.; four children, William Dawson Schmidt, Elizabeth Schmidt, Irene Schmidt (Ellen Swicord), and Mary Ann Spencer (Stanley); stepchildren, John Joseph Vojt and Robyn Lynn Vojt; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings, John Geer (Joann), and Sandra Willey (Robert) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 13586 Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121 or to the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, 132 Campbell Avenue SW, Suite 200, Roanoke, VA 24011.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lord officiating. A reception will follow the service.
