Debra Gwin Simmons, 60, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at her residence. She leaves behind her husband and lifelong friend of Bill Simmons.
She was born on January 26, 1956 in Bloomington, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Robert Gwin and Edna Davis Gwin.
Debra leaves to cherish her memory her two sons; Michael A. Simmons and wife, Candy, Billy Simmons and wife, Billi Lynn; grandchildren: Brittny Liskey and husband, Michael, Ashlee, William, Christopher, Josue, Ashlynn and Landon Simmons; three great-grandchildren: Glorianna Simmons, Owen Liskey, Sophia Grace ; brother: Gary Gwin and wife, Kay; and her Chihuahua, her special buddy, Mouse.
Debra enjoyed to crochet and she made blankets for the whole family, she loved the Dallas Cowboys and she enjoyed watching Nascar.
A memorial service will be held for Debra Friday, May 13, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.in Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, with Rev. Geoff Hubbard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Debra’s honor to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center.
